Childhood years in the suburbs of Kampala sandwiched by informal settlements on either side not only help him relate and identify with AFRISLUMs’ primary beneficiaries, but also refresh on a daily an insatiable desire and willingness to serve those at the very bottom of the economic pyramid and bring lasting change that helps them escape the poverty trap.   

In-line with the Organization's Vision, that desire to see lasting change in the lives of others informed the founding of the entity that is AFRISLUM today.
